The recently completed HMRC regional hub building in the Arena Central complex was designed and scheduled by our team at Design Concepts.

We are proud that the building has recently been awarded 'Best Commercial Building' in the Schuco UK Excellence Awards 2021 and has also been shortlisted in the 'Best use of a rainscreen system using aluminium' category of the Facade Awards UK 2021.  

It provides over 240,000 sq ft of commercial office space over its 14 floors for around 3600 public servants from various govenment departments.

We were tasked to provide the design and production scheduling of the complete external facade, with over 9000m2 of Unatex silver anodised aluminium Unity rainscreen panels, 5000m2 of Ultima insulated spandrel panels developed in conjuction with Metalline Architectural Fabrications.

8000m2 of Schuco FWS50 curtain walling all seamless integrated together to for the distinctive hexagonal impression. Bespoke tapered PPC aluminium feature eyebrows above each vision area were also engineered  and designed through a complex arrangement of bracketry and framing carcass
